I embellish the studies with intuitive leaps in colour, form and repetition. The embellished work takes on a life of its own regardless of the starting point, be it life drawing, landscape sketches or photo documentation of a specific site that speaks to me.

My paintings and drawings explore the relationship between colour and form. I use my personal interpretation of a variety of objects, as source material for my work; the female form, horses, land, water, and flora. I use my understanding of colour theory to create vibrant, rich and sometimes agitated paintings.
